MISSION STATEMENT

To nurture the Spirits of our youth. To promote peace, respect, along with self-love, and to teach our youth how to allow their voices to be heard!

BFAM, Inc. offers mentorship to our community's youth. We offer scholarships to our high school Seniors, we offer a message of self-love to our society, and we offer LOVE to everyone!!

BFAM'S BIRTH STORY

Monique Rivarde is the mother of Bobby Tillman, a Child of GOD who was murdered November 7, 2010. Bobby, at the age of eighteen, was beaten to death by four teenage boys. From this horrible and senseless act of violence towards her son, Ms. Rivarde and her family birthed BFAM, Inc. (Bobby Tillman’s Family)..with the focus of promoting self-love amongst all youth in Georgia and beyond, and with the prayer to instill self-worth, respect, courage and love.

Through BFAM, Inc., Ms. Rivarde, her daughter, family, and the members of BFAM, Inc. have spoken at numerous Georgia schools, Churches, and venues nationwide on the awareness of bullying, choices and self-love. With loyalty towards our youth, Ms. Rivarde and BFAM, Inc. have reached thousands of people in Georgia and beyond with their message and banner of love.

Ms. Rivarde and BFAM, Inc. have held Back-to-School Supply Drives, where enough supplies were collected from community businesses to donate to every school in the Douglas County School System. They have also held Winter Clothing Drives to assist the homeless families in Douglas County and beyond, organized a “Bowling Extravaganza”, with all donations going towards the Bobby Tillman Scholarship Fund. BFAM, Inc. and will host their 3rd Annual Bobby Tillman 5k Walk/Run of Love Race on April 25, 2020. With the money raised from BFAM, Inc.’s last race, they were able to award five $400 Scholarships and four gift cards to graduating Seniors. BFAM, Inc. was also able to donate $250 to the National Alliance for Mental Illness, in honor of Ms. Rivarde’s sister Raquel Mims, who was schizophrenic. Through GOD, BFAM, Inc. is on a mission to change the world, one act of Faith at a time and its mantra is “STRENGTH = ME!!
